The five day IV Methylprednisolone treatment was completed last Friday. Then Saturday began the large dosage oral prednisone phase. Although no allergies were noted there were some side effects such as mood swings and extreme fatigue. Her balance became worse for several days, but since the IV period it has slowly improved. Sleep is now very good and the tremors are somewhat less. Every five days the oral prednisone is decreased and in about three weeks the doctor will then evaluate the results. We are encouraged at this point.
