Texas Trip - Russells
Once again, talking long into the wee hours was a prime activity. But we did manage to visit one of our favorite stores, Central Market in Fort Worth. And this time they introduced us to Half Price Books, a wonderful, discount store. We scoured three locations and plan to check out a few more on our next visit.
The weather was hot as expected, but we had a great time! We also had a good experience with our motel en route. We usually stay somewhere in Monroe, Louisiana, and this time used a place we had never stayed, The La Quinta. The price, with coupon, was $46 and we liked it so well we stopped on the return trip. The room this time had a couple of minor faults, but nothing significant, and we told the desk clerk upon checkout just so they could do the repairs (no complaining). They were apologetic and gave us the room for free, something we certainly did not expect.
