The EMBASSY SUITES Montgomery - Hotel & Conference Center was our operating location and it worked extremely well.
Their free breakfast buffet and generous happy hour provided some great time for swapping stories. It also proved to be an advantage having our two main dinners in the same location.

Monday, October 27
- Maxwell AFB - Air University mission briefing.
- Maxwell Windshield Tour, guided by Capt. Ethan Stoker with a visit to the air park.
- Lunch with Officer Training School students.
- OTS Mission Briefing, facilities tour and classroom Interaction.
- Dinner at Embassy Suites - Guest speaker was Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Charles Cleveland. In December 2008 General Cleveland was awarded the Silver Star for becoming an Ace during the Korean War. (Click here for a pdf copy of the article in a new window.)
Tuesday, October 28
- Viewed the final OTS parade practice for their graduation parade (it was cold).
- Air Force Historical Research Agency visit.
- Memorial Service at Maxwell AFB Chapel - Rhon Carleton (Retired Chaplain) conducted.
- Lunch at Maxwell Officers' Club.
- Tours: Alabama Governor's Mansion, Historic Alabama State Capitol Building, and First White House of Confederacy.
Wednesday, October 29
Hyundai Plant tour (really worth seeing).
- Windshield tour through old Montgomery.
- Lunch at Maxwell Officers' Club.
- Tours: Old Alabama Town Living Block, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and a few areas of East Montgomery.
- Closing banquet at Embassy Suites.
