While setting on our back deck this afternoon we were treated to a new wildlife sighting. A magnificent Northern river otter cavorted on the far bank of the creek; it's the first one we have ever seen in this area. It appears to have taken over a muskrat lodge and evicted the previous tenant. We estimate it to be a bit over 3 feet in length.
