The Long Branch Quartet opened the show with Opry owner Charlie Short playing the piano and singing. Charlie's daughter (Kelly), son (Wade), and "Uncle Earl" round out the group; they did great as usual singing mostly gospel numbers.

The Marty Raybon Band was back for another show and played to a sell-out, appreciative crowd. Their band is outstanding and Marty still sings it all, but prefers bluegrass music, both traditional and newer. As usual they were outstanding!
