Long Branch Show - Lewis Family
Sat, February 2006, - Filed in: Long Branch
We missed the January show at the local Long Branch Opry, but for our first music event of 2006 it was back to one of our favorite locations.
The opening act was The Stage Hands, a new group that Long Branch Opry owner, Charlie Short, appears to be pushing (he is a member). They have potential, but are not ready for prime time in our opinion.
The Lewis Family returned and resulted in a sell-out crowd. As usual, Little Roy gave his high-energy performance and amazed all with his exceptional talent. They have been nominated in the Top 6 for the Overall Gospel Group category in the 32nd Annual SPBGMA bluegrass music awards which will be presented February 5, 2006.
