The last trip of the year was to New Point, Virginia, for a delightful visit with Dick and Jan Phillips. It's always a beautiful drive up through the Shenandoah Valley of Western Virginia and the weather cooperated to provide us with an enjoyable trip both ways. We also stopped to visit one of Jack's favorite "toy stores", the Apple Computer store in Richmond. We didn't buy anything this time, but got to check out the latest items.

Jan showed us around her home area of Mathews County where she was born and raised. It's a very interesting and lovely area with lots of history. We stopped at the Mathews Library to check our email and it was busy, even on a Sunday.
