Long Branch - Goldwing Express

The Jake Landers Band
The Jake Landers Band is an accomplished bluegrass group headed by Jake Landers, with Rod Carter, Jason Wilborn, and Stacy Peek. They also had a fine, young fiddle player sitting in for this show.

Goldwing Express is a nationwide touring band although they announced that they are curtailing the touring and playing mostly in Branson. They are comprised of three Native American brothers and their father. Better known as “Three Indians and the Little White Man,” this family act is versatile in many music venues. They’re best known in the bluegrass circuit for their hard driving, action packed show.

Goldwing Express
Goldwing Express has an EXPRESSive bluegrass style like no other band “out there” on the road. They combine a Branson, MO style comedy act with the acoustics of a five-string banjo, mandolin, guitar, bow fiddle and upright bass.
Bob Baldridge, the boy’s father, can display the most humorous antidotes of comedy you have ever seen. Besides being an expert storyteller and joke artist, he has mastered the mandolin to a fine art.

The boys themselves have won numerous awards for their talents in mastering the banjo, guitar and bow fiddle. Adorning Native American apparel for some of the show, these brothers are one-half Creek Indian from Okmulgee, OK.

Steven Joseph leads the group with the distinctive sound of a Stelling banjo. The ring of it is as clear as local church bells. He also plays a very soulful dobro.

Paul Anthony is the oldest of the boys, his sweet tenor voice reminds one of Jim and Jesse and the Virginia Boys. Paul can keep perfect guitar rhythm to his younger brother Steven’s lightning fast fingers. “Dueling Banjo’s” has to be these two brother’s favorite number to astonish a crowd, which they certainly did.

Shawn David, the youngest, resembles his full blood Native mother the most. He is the backbone of they’re music. He slaps the upright bass, and saws a mean fiddle.

They are certainly a great group and performed some moving songs!
